This taping machine replaced a manual taping process and gave the benefits of twice the previous production rate with consistent tape quality and reduced scrap. It also batch counted finished taped parts to match packing requirements. This machine uses Nitto tape but also operates with 3m tape, TESA tape, Lohmann tape and all other quality tapes.
This special purpose taping machine was married to an existing production process to save having to apply tape by hand to pallet bearers. The production machine delivered bearers to our taping machine which then taped them from end to end and batch counted for customer delivery. Tape was automatically set to adjust for any length of bearer and the twin tape rolls ensured that stopping time for tape change over is minimised.
